About this course

Arun VC is a practicing artist, photographer and writer from Kerala, India. He has Illustrated books published by Oxford University Press and other publications, contributed paintings, illustrations and photographs for many institutions of international reputation like The Bern University of Arts Switzerland, The Tropenmuseum, The Netherlands, Universitat Luneberg, Germany, Ekagrata Publications, The Netherlands etc. As a watercolor painter his style is unique, and deviates from the accepted norms of watercoloer painting more often with his extensive knowledge in the technical aspects of watercolor painting. With this course you can learn the basics of watercolor painting like composition, materials involved, basics of color theory, and the fundamental techniques which are unique to watercolor. Learn to build a composition of live landscape images. He focuses on teahcing fundamentals of building an artwork from deep observation and has his own style of painting in very playful representational form. This is a course for beginner to intermediate level artists, hobbyists who want to grow into watercolors as a medium.

Arun VC

Arun VC, a Kerela-based watercolour artist, was born on April 2, 1974. He completed his secondary education in Kerala and went on to study Classical Music (Bamboo Flute) at Kalakshetra College of Fine Arts in Chennai. He worked for many years as a graphic designer and artist. He also worked in Hyderabad as an industrial photographer for an advertising agency. Now, Arun works as a full-time Artist, Freelance Photographer.

Mop Brushes - Natural or Synthetic, size 8 and 4
Hake brush (1 inch or above) or a soft hair synthetic flat brush of 1 inch or above
A small brush for details
Watercolor any brand of artist quality (Camel, Windsor and Newton, Vangogh etc.)
